The manufacturer uses a variety of recycled plastic to produce clamshells. Some materials will be clearer than other materials therefore the look of the empty clamshell may differ from clear to slightly opaque from time to time depending on supplies in circulation at the time of production. This doesn't affect the end result and that's the idea of recycling.
