Bold, sensual, mysterious
LEATHER · WOODY · SPICED
Worn leather, warm spices, and dark woods—the scent of an old library armchair by the fire—our own interpretation of the olfactory style of “Cuir Obscur” by BYREDO. *
Dark Leather & Violet Orris opens with a warm spark of nutmeg and cinnamon leaf, brightened by a twist of orange zest. At its heart, a supple suede-leather accord is softened by creamy ylang-ylang, jasmine, violet-orris, and a velvety damask rose. The drydown is deep and enveloping: dry cedarwood and earthy patchouli over sandalwood, ambery woods and resinous gurjun balsam, finished with soft musk and a touch of tonka and vanilla. Refined, masculine-leaning, and full of character—ideal for libraries, studies, and autumn-winter collections.
