YELLOW LIQUID WAX DYE—D20003
French Color & Fragrance · ECO/REACH™
Supplied in a 15 ml bottle with dropper.
Dosage note: ECO/REACH dyes are highly concentrated – use 0.01–0.15% (0.1–1.5 g per kg of wax). Do not use the dosage of our Nature's Palette natural dyes (0.1–0.5%), which is about ten times higher.
Professional, highly concentrated oil-soluble liquid dye from French Color & Fragrance, developed for consistent and easy colouring of waxes.
FCF ECO/REACH™ liquid dyes combine high colour concentration with easy handling and excellent solubility, allowing candle makers to achieve anything from delicate tones to rich, vibrant shades simply by adjusting the amount of dye used.

YELLOW LIQUID WAX DYE—D20003
The final shade depends on the concentration used.
The FCF colour chart demonstrates Yellow at:
| Dye concentration | Colour result |
|---|---|
| 0.005% (0.05 g) | Very light / pale yellow |
| 0.010% (0.10 g) | Light yellow |
| 0.050% (0.50 g) | Medium / vibrant yellow |
| 0.100% (1.00 g) | Deep yellow |
The appearance of the finished colour will vary depending on the type and opacity of the wax.
FCF provides the following general guidance for ECO/REACH liquid dyes:
Pale shades: 0.01% or less
Medium shades: approximately 0.01–0.02%*
Dark shades: approximately 0.10–0.15%
*The original FCF Technical Data Sheet prints the medium range as “0.02% to 0.01%”; this appears in that order in the manufacturer's document.
For accurate and repeatable production, FCF recommends measuring liquid dyes by weight rather than by drops.
Do not expose the dye to unnecessarily high temperatures or prolonged heating, as this may cause colour fading or alteration.
FCF recommends using a UV inhibitor for all colour applications.
Exposure to light, UV radiation, fragrance oils, and other formulation components can affect colour stability over time.
Factors that can affect the amount of dye required for the desired tone include:
– The opacity of the wax, whether it is vegetable or paraffin wax.
– Wax additives such as stearic acid and fragrance.
Suitable for colouring:
– Candles
– Vegetable waxes
– Paraffin waxes
– Wax blends
The FCF technical sheet additionally lists stains, varnishes, adhesives, greases, and lubricants among the applications for the ECO/REACH range.

IMPORTANT
Because wax opacity, fragrance oils, additives, and dye concentration can all influence the final colour, always carry out a small-scale test before full production.
Any change in dye concentration can also affect the finished candle system, so appropriate candle and burn testing should always be performed before commercial production.
