 Use in Wax Melts & Candles

Mica is perfect for creating luxurious visual effects in wax melts — from shimmering finishes to bold, radiant colours.

How to Use:

• Add mica to melted wax while still liquid, stirring well to disperse the pigment

• For candles, pre-mix the mica with a small portion of fragrance oil or melted wax before adding to the full batch

• Always use clean, dry tools to avoid clumping

Dosage Recommendations

The ideal amount depends on the colour intensity you want. As a general guide:

• Wax melts: 0.1 g to 0.3 g per 100 g wax

• Candles: 0.05 g to 0.2 g per 100 g wax (strong colours may require slightly more)

• Soaps / Resin: follow dosage recommendations specific to your craft

Note: Mica is highly concentrated — a little goes a long way!
Always start with a small amount and increase gradually.

Application Tips

• For best results, disperse mica in a small amount of melted wax before adding to the full batch

• In wax melts, mica creates stunning visual effects as the melt liquifies in the burner

• In candles, mica colours the wax but will not produce a metallic sparkle in the flame — this is normal
